I'm here now as well brothers, inshallah, IA will be back on. Too much history on it to be lost now.

IA is back insha'a ALLAH, the site at least for now, but a sister on Ummah said that she was browsing the forum or she did and a bro suggested that's a DNS issue which does really happen when you change the host, because usually the Name Servers do take up to 24-48 hours to get updated with the current values, however you can tweak it and access the site from a Proxy or a VPN that has the same range as IA's new NS and you should be fine, really we were homeless without IA

I can access the main IA site, but not the forums. Are they still down?

It looks like they're really down not only a DNS issue, I tried all the options I can get with but nothing's worked, so Abu Zubair must have a tough time now.

It's for sure changing the Host as their emails are no more working and they have to set them back again with their new MX host, so I believe his trying to upload a GigaBytes DB to the new host which could be really painful without having SSH, or may be they're using the SQL BIGDUMP PHP script to do the mission which should help alot and would be much easier, and after that I guess that Abu Zubair will install VBulletin, I can be very helpful on this matter if he allowed me but I couldn't find his email, and all I found is that Abu Treika was with us on Ummah

He's Abuabdullah now, and I asked him to PM me his email, until then I'm gonna just wait.

What does all this mean ? MX, SSH, SQL ? :/

To establish a working site on the net you have to have some place to host your files at, but how could you tell the browsers that such site's files are hosted here?

It's easy, by using the DNS (Domain Name Server), and it happens that they derived many kinds of these servers, each dedicated to a specific service, for example to point a site to the suitable address we use the NS Records.

And they do so with the email as well, they created other Records to manage receiving emails through specific records, they named them MX records, so you can host your site somewhere and use MX records from another server like Google's Free MX service, and when you change your webhost you have to reset them all.

There are other records too like the CNAME Records that help us to create subdomains like etalk.safwah.net, I guess it's clear now.

SSH is simply a remote secured shell compatibility to execute or run commands on the server remotely and from a long distance, which is very useful in IA's case.

SQL, is the most common and used Data Base language on the planet, although it's kinda structured language and you need a DB engine to execute its queries like MySQL, SQLite, PostgreSQL, Oracle...etc
